Resume —
The more you know— a recent job list.
“Chris Northup literally saved my life years ago catching me before my head hit the pavement! Over many years working together, Chris has often saved the day with his expertise, sense of humor, kindness and regard for safety. He’s one of the best in the business.”

The Day
My job is to facilitate you having a great shoot.
Every day we mix artists, actors, craftspeople, locations, large equipment and dangerous situations- then we put it all under intense time and volume pressure.
A successful day is a giant feat of coordination. To achieve that, everyone needs to hear the same music -be in the same groove.
The keys are communication, clear instructions, intent listening, the right information at the right time, and a fat serving of levity that always goes a long way. That is where I begin…
The goal is not speed or getting finished by lunch, the goal is efficiency and safety.
The crew that feels considered and important is a happy crew. Happy crews do great work.
That is my experience- here we go.

DIRECTOR: TIM KENDALL
“Chris, beyond a doubt, is one of the most put-together AD’s I've ever worked with. His attention to the inner workings of every department are apparent from the start of every day. But his compassion and immense gratitude for every single participant on and off set is his biggest asset to any production.”
Gabrael Wilson - Production Designer
